In the city of Cam Ranh, Khanh Hoa province, the "Granting Opportunities, Connecting Dreams" program encountered Trần Gia Tuệ, an eighth-grade student at Nguyễn Trọng Kỷ Secondary School. With extraordinary determination, she strives to excel in her studies to heal her mother.

For many, the family is the happiest place, the "cradle" where we are born and grow up in the love of our parents. However, Tran Gia Tue isn’t as fortunate as many peers, lacking the love and care of her father. Growing up in her mother's embrace, ironically, her mother is not fortunate in terms of health compared to other mothers. With no agricultural land, the family's main income relies on her father's three-wheeled taxi service. He is the only man in the house and also Tuệ's father. Currently, the family is relying on the government's 800,000 VND elderly allowance for her grandmother.

Despite the difficult circumstances, Tuệ is a diligent, polite, and excellent student trusted by her friends. Even in adversity, she remains resilient and believes that only effort, determination, and optimism can serve as motivation for her to reach her dream of becoming a mental health doctor. This is also the encouragement that can alleviate her mother's illness, paving the way for a better future for both mother and daughter.

Outside of school hours, Gia Tuệ takes on the responsibility of caring for her grandmother to help the family while her uncle works to earn additional income, ensuring that daily life runs smoothly.

Gia Tue aspires to become a doctor to provide emotional support for her mother.

"To wish for my mother to be free from illness, to live a normal life. At that time, we could chat happily, go for a walk together, and wish for my mother to be relieved from hardship and suffering due to such a disease."

To turn her dreams and aspirations into reality, Gia Tue will have to make a lot of effort and overcome obstacles to reach the light of a better future.

The scholarship from "Trao cơ hội, nối ước mơ" by the Vietnam Computerized Lottery Company (Vietlott) is not only a material support but also a source of spiritual encouragement for Gia Tue.
