A student who lost his parents, studied well in the countryside of Khoai Chau, Hung Yen

Dang Qui Anh Hien, class 9A is one of the students in the team of excellent students of Khoai Chau Town Secondary School, Hung Yen. Hien has just completed the district-level competition for excellent students in Biology. The family situation is more difficult than his peers, and the time spent on studying is not much, but with his efforts, determination, intelligence, and logical thinking, Hien is always highly appreciated by her teachers.

The secondary school in Khoai Chau town, Hung Yen province was established in 1962. At that time, it was called Kim Nguu High School 1-2. Here, Dang Qui Anh Hien, a student of class 9A, is one of the students in the school's excellent student team. Hien has just completed the District-level Excellent Student Competition in Biology. Besides Biology, which is his strength, Hien is also good at many natural subjects. In class, Hien takes on the role of leader, he is serious but also very sociable, ready to help his friends. Many hours of recess, he still work hard with his friends to discuss and find solutions to class exercises. The family situation is more difficult than his peers, the time spent on studying is not much, but with effort and determination, plus intelligence and logical thinking, Hien is always highly appreciated by teachers.

Hien is always active and responsible when participating in school activities

Hien's family belongs to a near-poor household in Khoai Chau district, Hung Yen province. Without the care of the father and mother who had just died of cancer, the grandmother was over 80 and completely unable to work, so the income mainly relied on the allowance. However, over the past 9 years, Hien has always maintained the achievement of a good student. 

No guilt about his situation, Hien always tries his best to study well

With his special situation, Hien has been cared for and noticed by many teachers since entering the school. When starting secondary school, right from the beginning of 6th grade when classifying students, the school has found ways to support them, such as books, or any donations that can be exempted from the school fees.  The school also said that it has actively mobilized social resources and external organizations to support him. In 6th grade, Hien was given a bicycle by the school to go to school, or on occasions such as the beginning of a new school year, Tet holiday, he was also supported by the school's Board of Directors to give gifts. Thanks to the school's attention and the help of his classmates, Hien became more confident, ready to express himself and contribute ideas during the school's review hours. In the new school year, Hien entered 10th grade, he set out for herself a specific study plan to achieve his dream in the future. With a dream of becoming a doctor, Hien shared that in the next 3 years, he will try to complete his study plan well with the desire to help disadvantaged people get free medical treatment later.

Knowing his special situation, the program "Give a chance - Connect a dream" this time decided to give him strength by giving him a scholarship with the hope that he will have good conditions more so to be engaged in learning at higher levels. The program representatives as well as the school also hope that after receiving such a precious gift, Hien will continue to promote to be able to continue building his dreams and turn them into reality and become a successful person, a good citizen for society.
