Vietlott realizes the dream of "having a bed to sleep" of students in mountainous Yen Bai

08/10/2020 14:21

Located in Nghia Lo town, but with difficult conditions, almost 100% of students are ethnic children, so before, socialization resources at Hanh Son Kindergarten were very few. Facilities, Equipment is therefore always in short supply. Recently, the school was fortunate to receive financial support from Vietlott's social security program, the school principal's dream "students can sleep on the roof, the kitchen has a cupboard for bowls" has come true.

The concern "students have beds to sleep"

Hanh Son Kindergarten is located in Hanh Son commune, formerly in Van Chan district, now merged into Nghia Lo town, Yen Bai province. "Reputable" is located in the town, but because most of the school's students are ethnic children, their family's economy is difficult, so every year, the school always has to "weigh and measure" how to make the payment contribution per student is as low as possible. The ground for collecting money for building facilities, buying learning tools, taking care of students... of the school is always the lowest compared to the common ground of schools in Nghia Lo town. Therefore, the financial resources to invest in school facilities are extremely limited.

Ms. Vu Thi Yen, the school's principal, said that at present, Hanh Son Kindergarten has a total of 343 students studying at 2 schools. In particular, the secondary school site is located about 2km from the main school, with 4 classrooms, 2 semi-permanent rooms, the remaining 2 rooms are temporary classrooms, built of steel and corrugated iron. Last summer, the weather was hot and sunny, students and teachers were miserable, the school had to mobilize socialization to build the foundation, install heat-resistant panels around and roof with heat-resistant corrugated iron. However, the school's facilities are still lacking in everything.

Dreams come true

On September 30, Vietlott officially operated a self-selected lottery business system in Yen Bai province. On this occasion, Vietlott donated 04 great solidarity houses to families with difficult circumstances, and sponsored facilities to schools in Yen Bai province. Hanh Son Kindergarten is fortunate to be one of two schools in the area that is sponsored with facilities in Vietlott's volunteer program.

Ms. Vu Thi Yen said that when she heard that Vietlott had financial support activities for schools, she was very happy. “We have never asked for any support from businesses before, so when we heard that Vietlott had charity activities, we were very happy. The provine and businesses asked what support I needed, I immediately thought I had to ask for money to buy a sleeping crib for my children, and at the same time buy a cupboard to ensure the hygiene of the kitchen. Yesterday at the parent meeting, I announced this good news, all parents were extremely happy. We are very grateful to Vietlott!” – Yen shared excitedly.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Tu - Deputy General Director of Vietlott said that in the process of business implementation, besides contributing budget revenue to localities, social security work is also paid special attention by businesses.

Specifically, after 4 years, Vietlott has paid nearly 4,500 billion VND to local budgets. This source of money is used by localities to invest in the fields of health, education, combating climate change, building new countryside and other social welfare works. The entire Vietlott system (partners, agents, points of sale, winning customers) has carried out hundreds of social security activities in all regions of the country with a total budget of 45 billion VND. In which, the focus is on supporting new rural construction programs, supporting students, children and the elderly, the poor and other disadvantaged groups.

Only from the beginning of the year until now, a series of houses of gratitude and people's bridges have been built by Vietlott. The company also awarded many scholarships, supported units and organizations with material and financial support to fight against the Covid-19 epidemic. Most recently, Vietlott cooperated with VTC Digital Television to launch a charity program " Give opportunities, Connect dreams” to spread love in society. In total, Vietlott and the entire lottery business system have carried out social security activities with an amount of more than 3 billion VND since the beginning of the year.
