The house on the top of the mountain and the way to take children to find the words of a Hmong man

Children in Nha Nhuom village (Nam Cao commune, Bao Lam district, T. Cao Bang) go looking for words with their feet over hills and waterfalls on roads measured in kilometers.

Thanh's house is located at the top of the mountain, the tallest house in Na Nhuom village. Every day, Quan's way to school, his way to work, has to pass 3 fruits and 2 waterfalls to get to the trail. Going back and forth like that takes 1 hour on foot.

In 2014, Thanh married a Hmong girl from the same village. Being poor, the couple could only walk hand in hand to the top of the towering mountain of Na Nhuom village to build a house. The wife cultivates grass to plant corn, her husband grazes buffaloes, and goes to build a house in the village. The work will be exchanged in kilograms of corn.

In 2014, Thanh and his wife had their first child and had a little extra corn in the house, so they both used it to change their work to build a house. The house was built in 20 days, out of a bunch of forest trees and grass. Yet, in 2018, after a storm passed through the mountain, it fell in two.

Sharing the same situation as him, the representative of Vietlott sent more than VND 50 million to help Thanh complete his dream house.

Sitting at a wooden table with a broken leg, Thanh laughed endlessly.

Accompanying the journey to build a home in poor provinces of Vietnam, Mr. Hieu (representative of Vietlott) did not hide his emotions when witnessing the joy of poor people. At the house donation ceremony for Duong Minh Thanh's family, Mr. Hieu shared:

“Social security activities to ensure and develop people's lives are always a key issue of Vietlott. In 2020, Vietlott has built more than 100 gratitude houses, sending thousands of children to school and continuing to go to school. Those numbers are an honor and motivation for Vietlott to carry out more and more programs in the future.”

“I don't know how to describe the joy that Vietlott gave me. Finally, the dream of having a safe place for his wife and children has been fulfilled for many years." Thanh share
